The perfect next step

Teenage Progression Windsurfing

Work on specific skills such as footstraps, gybes, tacks and stance

This RYA Intermediate Progression course covers a broad spectrum of skills. It is the perfect next step for anyone who has completed the Fastfwd Improver course, or who has used the harness and wishes to develop. It can be revisited as a clinic for those wishing to work on specific skills such as footstraps, gybes, tacks and stance because it builds on each individuals existing knowledge. This course is ideal as an assessment for those looking to gain the RYA Intermediate certificate.

We use the fastfwd formula to develop use of the harness and introduce footstraps; practice and develop the non planing carve gybe; using the fastfwd formula we will provide you with all the skills required for handling larger sails and lower volume boards in stronger winds; the course content includes rigging, launching and recovery, harness work, footstraps, power control and planing skills. Our aim is to focus on improving stance, getting to grips with the harness, and an introduction to more dynamic transitions like fast tacks, and gybes as well as leaving the shore in style.
